The Close of Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Over, The Clone Wars, are….
Yes, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is complete.
And, of course, the final “Clone Wars Declassified” is now posted.
Obviously, spoilers for the last season of TCW are ahead.

Still here? Good.
Clone Wars Declassified
StarWars.com’s Kristin Baver wrote:
In “Victory and Death,” the final episode in the final season of the series, Ahsoka and the newly-altered Commander Rex make their last, desperate attempt to elude the clone troopers now on the hunt to execute Ahsoka and anyone who gets in their way. The episode, now available to stream on Disney+, is exactly the kind of epic and thrilling conclusion one would expect, and it makes my heart hurt.
Mr. Baver posted her top five highlights, but I want you to head over to see the full episode, so here is my favorite:
2. “I don’t want to hurt them.”
Beneath the stoic expression on his clone helmet, Rex is crying. Ahsoka is no longer a Jedi, but faced with annihilating Jesse and the rest of the clones standing between her and the shuttle, she chooses to find another way off the ship. It’s a heartbreaking moment that shows that Ahsoka still exemplifies all the Jedi’s greatest values, including compassion.
Cast Reunion
And I was very happy to see the whole gang back together for the “Star Wars: The Clone Wars Cast Reunion Challenge.”
D23.com presented the show, which was a fun walk down memory lane.
Hosted by D23’s Justin Arthur, we invite you to stream the conversation and play along at home. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the epic finale of the beloved series… We are excited to bring together members of the cast to look back on seven incredible seasons as well as “test them in the ways of the Force” with The Clone Wars trivia!
Talent includes:
- Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano
- Catherine Taber, voice of Padmé Amidala
- Dee Bradley Baker, voice of Clone Troopers, Captain Rex
- James Arnold Taylor, voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi
- Matt Lanter, voice of Anakin Skywalker
- Sam Witwer, voice of Darth Maul
- Tom Kane, narrator and voice of Yoda
That was a lot of fun to watch. And it’s good to know just how close the entire cast became over the spread of the show’s seasons.
Definitive Download
And, of course, the final episode of “Clone Wars Download” was inevitable, too.
Clone Wars Download: “Victory and Death”
Go behind the scenes of “Victory and Death” with executive producer Dave Filoni, cast, and crew, as they discuss the highly-anticipated series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
P.S.
In case you were wondering, or perhaps agreeing with my own recent comments, hoping that Clone Wars isn’t over.
But, straight from The Maker’s padawan, it’s over.
Deadline asked Filoni if he would continue on to do another season of Star Wars Rebels:
No. Not really. I was really happy with how that series turned out, and I feel like we got to tell a complete story there. It was one of the things that really drove me to thinking, well, it would be great to have a complete feeling like that for Clone Wars, so now to have both is really great. I think that there’s always potential for stories that involve the characters from Rebels, which is maybe a better way to put it. They’ve all earned their place in the galaxy, so to speak, so I’m sure there’s some more of them to do.
To me, that sounds like The Clone Wars (nevermind Star Wars Rebels) are over.
