CDC Extends ‘No Sail Order’ for Cruise Ships
Back on March 14, 2020, the CDC issued a “no sail order” for all cruise ships for 30 days. Many cruise lines including Disney Cruise Line had already voluntary cancelled their sailings for at least 30 days at that time. Disney Cruise Line was scheduled to return to normal operations as of April 28, 2020 but per the newest CDC guidelines released this morning, that will be extended.

The newest CDC “No Sail Order” issued today, April 10, 2020 now says that cruises will not be able to resume until one of the following criteria is met:
- The expiration of the Secretary of Health and Human Services’ declaration that COVID-19 constitutes a public health emergency
- The DC Director rescinds or modifies the order based on specific public health or other considerations
- 100 days from the date of publication in the Federal Register
