Ample Hills Creamery Loses an “M”
One of our favorite places to go for a decadent treat every time we are paying a visit to Walt Disney World is Ample Hills Creamery located at Disney’s Boardwalk.
This tasty ice cream shop has a long tradition of winning over Disney fans with their incredible sweet treats. So much so that the business is slated to get its second location at Disney Springs later this year!
Apart from serving up delicious treats, Ample Hills is always looking pristine that’s why during our morning saunter around the Epcot resorts, we were surprised to see that the “M” has mysteriously disappeared from the logo.
Perhaps the “M” decided to head over to Disney Springs to welcome in the new shop, perhaps it fell off in high wind or some rabble-rouser thought it’d be a good idea to take it after a late night at the Abracadabar.
We haven’t been back to Boardwalk today but anticipate the sign was made “right” in no time! We share it as an amusing example of the #chapek effect! Since Bob Iger announced his swift departure a few weeks ago and Chapek took over the helm as the CEO of Disney, Walt Disney World has suffered a handful of bizarre mishaps leading guests and Disney fans to wonder what’s going on.
Just over the past couple of weeks PeopleMover has been down. Space Mountain evacuated, Jungle Cruise sunk, and Haunted Mansion uninhabitable (even for happy haunts.) We are sure this is all just coincidence but the timing is uncanny!
Broken signage or not, next time you are paying a visit to Disney’s Boardwalk be sure to pop by A”M”ple Hills to give some of their ice cream varieties a try! Our personal favorite – the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake which is made up of creamy Vanilla Ice Cream made with cream cheese and gobs of House-made Ooey Gooey Butter Cake!
