Take a Closer Look at EPCOT’s New Flags!
I’m going to end my day exactly where I started it Disney friends, by looking at the incredible new flags now flying high in the entrance area of EPCOT!
Our MickeyBlogger was on the scene all day to check out the Flower & Garden Festival managed to capture these images before leaving!
Imagineer Zach Riddley took to Instagram this morning to announce that six new flags would be flown on the 12 flagpoles located in EPCOT’s recently re-imagined entryway!
Each white flag features a colorful symbol at it’s center. This emblems actually harken back to the original days of EPCOT with each representing one of the original pavilions.
Today they serve as a nod to how far EPCOT has come as it undergoes its massive transformation but also as a symbol of the ways that it still represents Walt’s original vision for EPCOT.
They are absolutely beautiful and its amazing how transformed the entrance to the park feels when you arrive. The pylons are up in from of Spaceship Earth, the new nighttime lighting will kick-off starting this evening and there’s even a new EPCOT soundtrack that greets guests as you arrive!
Best of all, this is just the start of a transformation that will see Future World transformed into new neighborhoods featuring shopping, dining brand new attractions and more!
