CONFIRMED: Walt Disney World Introduces New Fourth Dining Plan – Disney Dining Plan Plus
As we reported over the weekend, there was a lot of speculation that Walt Disney World would be announcing a fourth dining plan. This morning, we can confirm that they have officially released the new Disney Dining Plan Plus.
What’s Included with the Disney Dining Plan Plus?
The new plan includes the following for all Guests 3 or older:
- 2 Meals: ANY combination of table service and quick service meal for each night of your stay
- 2 Snacks/Nonalcoholic Drinks for each night of your stay
- One Resort-refillable mug that can be used for refills from full-service beverage islands and quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
How is this Different from Other Dining Plans?
The new Disney Dining Plan Plus is a mix of the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. Currently, the Disney Dining option offers each Guest one table service meal and one quick service meal for each night of their stay. The Disney Deluxe option offers three table service credits for each night of a guest’s stay which can be used for either quick service or table service meals. The new plan offers you the two meals like the Disney Dining Plan but the flexibility to use those credits at quick service or table service. All plans offer the two snack/nonalcoholic drink credits.
What is the Cost of the Disney Dining Plan Plus?
The new plan will cost $94.60 per adults for each night of your stay and $35.00 per each child ages 3 to 9 for each night of your stay.
Is Character and Signature Dining Included with the New Dining Plan?
Character dining as well as signature dining experiences are included as table service credits with the new plan just like they are included with the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. While most restaurants are just one table service credit, there are select character and signature dining experiences that are two credits.
What is Included with Your Quick Service Meal on the New Plan?
With any of the four dining plans, including the new plan, quick service credits include:
- 1 Entrée
- 1 Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
What is Included with Your Table Service Meal on the New Plan?
Table service credits for breakfast include the following:
- 1 Entrée
- 1 Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
-OR-
- 1 Full Buffet or Family-Style Meal
- 1 Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
Table service credits for lunch and dinner include the following:
- 1 Entrée
- 1 Dessert
- 1 Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
-OR-
- 1 Full Buffet or Family-Style Meal
- 1 Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
Is a Dining Plan Right for You?
Currently, I highly recommend the purchase of a Dining Plan with your Walt Disney Wold vacation package. Over the past several months, prices have increased at several table service and quick service restaurants as well as on snacks. However, Dining Plan prices have stayed the same. This makes it the best time to lock in a plan to get the most bang for your buck when it comes to dining at Disney!
