Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World Gets Ready To Expand
The Chicken Guy!, Guy Fieri’s Chicken-focused fast-food eatery at Disney Springs is currently undergoing renovations to allow additional indoor seating which will allow the restaurant to accommodate up to 70 more guests. The expansion is going into the area that was previously home to the Planet Hollywood Gift Shop.
The restaurant opened in mid-2018 to massive fanfare and quickly gained a following among tourists and locals alike. This quick-service eatery is small with indoor seating of about a dozen tables meaning visitors are regularly struggling to find a place to sit back relax and tuck into some of The Chicken Guy’s specialities.
The addition of 70 seats to the indoor area will mean that the restaurant will be able to seat 108 guests total which will hopefully alleviate some of the congestion. The project is set to be completed by the end of March. Other additions will include an additional drink station and restrooms.
The restaurant specializes in chicken fingers with an enviable array of dipping sauces. The tie in with celebrity chef Guy Fieri and tasty treats like loaded french have often resulted in lines stretching out the door! The restaurant is also owned by Rober Earl who runs brands like Planet Hollywood and Earl of Sandwich making the expansion of Chicken Guy! into Planet Hollywood’s massive observatory shaped building an easy fit.
As you can see during a recent visit, signage is up throughout the property and coming soon signs announcing the expanded location.
In addition to the Chicken Guy! location at Disney Springs you can find other shops at Miami’s Aventura Mall and outlets in football stadiums in Santa Clara, Calif., and Landover, Md.
This is just one of a few new/expanded eateries slated to open in Disney Springs this year! Other noteworthy additions include Beatrix which is opening in the former location of Bongos Restaurant, CIty Works which will be located adjacent to the NBA Experience and Ample Hills Creamery. All three will open in the West Side Neighborhood of Disney Springs.
