Ultimate Guide to The VOID at Disney Springs
Disney Springs has become one of the best places to visit in Walt Disney World since undergoing a massive renovation a few years ago. With brand new shops, restaurants, and entertainment, Disney Springs has become highly desirable. If you’re planning to visit anytime soon, you have to check out The VOID at Disney Springs.
What is The VOID?
The VOID is an exhilarating virtual reality experience that can be found in the Marketplace district of Disney Springs. Here, you can choose to embark on one of two missions: to a galaxy far, far away in a Star Wars themed thriller or to the internet as seen in Ralph Breaks The Internet.
While these experiences are very different from each other, people walk out of both feeling awe-inspired. However, before being able to participate in either of these missions, there are some things you should know.
The maximum number of people per party is four. That being said, if your party is larger than four you will have to split up into smaller parties.
Additionally, all guests must be a height of at least 48” (122 cm) tall and 10 years or older. Guests under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian present with them in order to sign a liability waiver, Terms and Conditions, and a Privacy Policy, which participants over 16 need to sign as well.
After these documents are through, you are ready for your adventure!
What Makes The VOID Worth Trying?
Walt Disney World is known for its technological brilliance. Many attractions, shows, and entertainment options are not only enhanced, but defined by next-level technology. The VOID at Disney Springs is a great example of this.
This is the only location in Walt Disney World where you can experience virtual reality. VR is a relatively new concept and has so much potential to grow, but even still is a breathtaking wonder.
Additionally, in most Walt Disney World attractions you are either stationary or strapped into a seat. The VOID is unique because you can fully immerse yourself in your surroundings as you are free to walk about and experience the world you are placed in.
The VOID is definitely one of the most interactive and exciting things you can take part in at Disney World.
Star Wars™: Secrets of The Empire
Star Wars™: Secrets of The Empire is one of two missions you can take part in at The VOID. For a while this was the only experience at The VOID, until Ralph Breaks VR made its debut in November, 2018.
During this operation, you and your party are expected to retrieve Imperial intelligence in hopes of saving the Rebellion; your task is facilitated by the guidance of many Star Wars characters such as K-2SO and more.
Throughout the mission, you encounter enemy stormtroopers, massive bug-like creatures, and even Darth Vader! The whole time, you can see your other party members, and are able to communicate with them through your VR headset.
Once you defeat your enemies and recover the targeted intelligence, you and your party can rejoice!
Ralph Breaks VR
Ralph Breaks VR is equally as thrilling as Star Wars™: Secrets of The Empire. Though this mission is less aggressive, it is still filled with lots of action.
You and your team travel with Wreck-It Ralph and his sidekick, Vanellope von Schweetz, to the internet. Once you reach Pancake Milkshake Diner, expect the ultimate battle.
Here, you and your party will take part in the ultimate food fight, as you stave off evil kittens and bunnies that attack you with flying cupcakes. This experience is definitely more cute and kid-friendly than Star Wars™: Secrets of The Empire, but both are without a doubt worth trying on your next visit to Disney Springs.
Are you ready to experience The VOID at Disney Springs! Tickets at $34.95 each and can be purchased here!
