Updates to My Disney Experience Include Mousekeeping Opt Out, Enhanced Option to Bypass Front Desk at Check-In
A few exciting updates have been released for the My Disney Experience platform including one that will allow you to receive a Disney Gift Card! The updates include a streamlined “Direct-to-Room” option that allows you to bypass the front desk at check-in as well as an option that would allow you to opt out of Mousekeeping through the app.
The new “Direct-to-Room” option is actually a feature that has been around for some time now. It is essentially an enhanced version of the Online Check-In feature that was previously available on the My Disney Experience platform that allows you to bypass the front desk at check-in and proceed directly to your room.
The new version on My Disney Experience will continue allow Guests to bypass the front desk at check-in as well as receive real-time reservation updates, see your room number, the ability to unlock your door with you phone, and more. Part of the enhanced “Direct-to-Room” feature on My Disney Experience will allow Guest to bypass the front desk if you were looking to decline Mousekeeping and receive a Disney Gift Card instead. With the “Service Your Way” option, you will be able to indicate on the app that you would like to opt in “Service Your Way” and opt out of Mousekeeping.
With the “Service Your Way” program, you will receive a credit via Disney Gift Card for each night of your stay (two nights or more) that you decline Mousekeeping. The amount per night depends on which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you are staying at and will be delivered electronically. Up until this point, Guests who were looking to take advantage of this option would have to stop by the front desk to sign up and could not do so through My Disney Experience.
