Take A Look at Disney World’s Incredible Animal Care Team
In case you haven’t heard, this past week was National Zoo Keeper Week. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom this is a huge deal as many cast members with Disney’s Animal, Science and Environment Department help care for thousands of animal’s at Disney World. This includes everything from animal keepers and aquarists to water scientists and ranch hands. There’s also the veterinary team members, scientists, nutritionists, animal behaviourists, administrative support professionals and more!
Disney’s Animal Care Team is home to cast members from all over the world each with a unique set of skills. They are dedicated to the daily care of animals at Walt Disney World Resort and are all impassioned conservationists celebrating Disney’s ethos of doing what they can to save endangered species worldwide.
Caring for animals is a 24 hour 7-day a week responsibility with teams working around the clock to keep the well-being of each of Disney’s Animal their number one priority. The Animal Care Team is responsible for preparing diets, performing medical procedures, cleaning barns, training animals to participate in their own health care and maintaining dining pools and aquariums. And because most are behind the scenes, it’s easy to forget the passion and dedication that goes into all of the amazing experiences at the Animal Kingdom.
