Celebrate the Season with a Disney Fall Vacation
Happy first day of fall! Here’s everything you can expect if you’re taking a Disney fall vacation!
Cozy sweatshirts that block against the cool breeze, crisp, hand-picked fresh apples, and brisk walks among gracefully falling leaves are just three of the many, many reasons I’m looking forward to the Autumn Equinox this year!
I know, coming from a girl who can’t get enough of warm summer weather, I got to wondering why this year I’m pushing the ‘fall’ envelope like never before. After long contemplation, I think I’ve arrived at the answer: the fall happenings around Walt Disney World Resort are officially in full swing!
I’m gearing up for my autumn visit in just a few weeks, and I’m getting more and more excited with each DisneyParks Halloween Party live stream and new festival fall dessert announcement! There really are more events and experiences than ever before in 2018, and ahead of my visit, I made sure to compile each and every experience that I simple won’t return home before seeing but after reviewing my list….I might need to extend my stay!
Fun Fall Foods
There are always seasonally appropriate eats and treats at Walt Disney World Resort, especially at Christmastime. This year though, the food and beverage teams are setting the bar very, very high ahead of the Holiday season with the impressive and delicious lineup of fall foods! The place to go if you’re hoping to taste your way through multiple venues is to head to Disney Springs where you can experience WonderFall Flavors! Here is the list of participating locations, and photo highlights of all the deliciousness.
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival
Outdoor kitchens, specially curated small plates, wine pairings, food and wine pairings, seminars, kids’ activities, adult classes…where do I even begin with Epcot International Food and Wine Festival? I think this event is best described and experienced very simply: show up and eat! If there is a down side to being immersed in foodie heaven, it’s that I won’t be able to taste everything! With over a dozen outdoor kitchens, here are the menus of the outdoor kitchens I can’t wait to try!
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
The hard-ticketed event is the epitome of autumn at the Resort. With an event-exclusive parade led by the Headless Horseman to the Hocus Pocus castle show (and of course, fireworks!) costume-clad guests return year after year for happy spooks and friendly haunts. In addition to the boatload of candy you’ll take home from trick-or-treating, there are spook-tacular, fall-inspired treats available exclusively for partygoers! There are so many treats to list, so I won’t waste any time getting to the delicious details:
- Worms and Dirt
- Zero Waffle Sundae
- Madam Leota Tart
- Hitchhiking Ghosts Doombuggy
- Candy Corn Ice Cream
- Candy Corn Milkshake
- Muenster Smash Burger
- Maleficent Lime Dole Whip
- Ooogie Boogie Merengue
- Jack Skellington Cake Push-up Pop
Fall Foods to Drool Over
Starting on October 1, many of these specially created treats will be available all day long at Magic Kingdom- not just during the Party- so anyone with a park admission ticket will be able to sink their vampire fangs into these tantalizing treats in just a few weeks’ time.
