January 2020 TRON Construction Update
As we countdown the days until Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th celebration and the new attractions that will come along with it, we’re closely monitoring the progress of the new Tron attraction at Magic Kingdom.
So for those of you who haven’t visited yet this month, here is your January 2020 TRON construction update.

During our most recent visit to scope out the progress, we noticed some heavy machinery on site.
In the following photos, you can see that the exterior of the attraction seems to have really taken shape.

During this visit, we’ve also spied something new.
A wall along the exterior of the attraction has begun to form.
The TRON attraction is based on the guest-favorite attraction TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland. This coaster-style attraction will allow riders to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles for a thrilling race through the digital frontier.
The new TRON coaster is expected to open in 2021 for the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
