Construction Continues at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom
Construction continues at Cinderella Castle, post Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. Here’s an update from Magic Kingdom Park!
Cinderella Castle
Recently, we shared that moats had been drained as the celebratory decor was removed from the castle. I visited Magic Kingdom last week and was sad to see the landmark without its magical water feature.
Nevertheless, it’s taking some time to remove all of the 50th Anniversary additions. As reported before, gold banners and jewel tone centerpieces have already been removed, along with the 50th Anniversary logo.
In addition, pre-Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary banners have returned to the castle. Our MickeyBlogger is visiting Magic Kingdom today, where he noticed progress at the landmark.
Let’s take a closer look so you can know before you go!
Construction Continues
Taking a look at the front of the castle, you’ll notice that more ribbons have been removed. If you’ve been following along, you’ll remember that about a week ago, there were still gold ribbons wrapped around the steeples.
Now, the blue castle spires are bare, and look like they did pre-50th Anniversary. Although Walt Disney World is currently celebrating Disney100, there are minimal decorations around the Parks.
At the back of the castle, construction walls are up and a vehicle can be seen behind the wall. Machinery is in place to aid the workers in construction.
Although not ideal for photos, we expect Walt Disney World to wrap things up soon. Hopefully, by the end of the month, things will be back to normal, providing more ideal photo ops for Guests.
As always, MickeyBlog will keep you posted as construction continues at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park!
