Harmonious Is Officially On the Calendar – EARLY!

It’s almost time to kick off the World’s Most Magical Celebration and some big new events are popping up on the calendar!

Harmonious, the new nighttime fireworks spectacular at Epcot, is now listed on the Park Hours calendar at 9:00 pm on September 28 and 29. Both time slots list the event as “Opening October 1, 2021” so we assume these two nights are a soft opening for media previews. But Disney did announce a live streaming event earlier today! Harmonious will stream on September 29 at 9:00 pm over on the Disney Parks Blog! Epcot’s regular park hours end at 9:00 pm on September 28 and 29, so it is safe to assume some lucky Guests will get to see the new show live a day or two early! 

Harmonious reimagines 15 classic Disney songs via a culturally diverse ensemble of artists and musicians from around the world; choreographed to fireworks, lasers, fountains and other special effects over the World Showcase Lagoon. The diverse presentation is an homage to Epcot’s renewed vow of “global community”.

Enchantment

Over in Magic Kingdom, Enchantment is set to open October 1 but this show is NOT listed on the calendar prior to this date. However, Disney Parks will live stream Enchantment the night before ,on September 30 at 10:15 pm. So we know an earlier show IS happening! 

Unlike Epcot, Magic Kingdom park hours end early (8:00 pm) that evening and NO evening fireworks are listed. Insider previews are slated during this time so it’s safe to assume the live streamed Enchantment broadcast will take place during those previews.

This all adds up to mean that, according to the Walt Disney World calendar as of this publication time, Happily Ever After will actually fly it’s last embers on September 29, NOT September 30!

Enchantment is set to celebrate characters, moments and music from much-loved Disney and Pixar films. The overall theme of the show, and the whole 50th celebration, is “the magic that lies within you”. For the first time ever, the show projections will extend down Main Street, creating an immersive feast for the senses like never before!
