BREAKING: New 100th Anniversary Disney Logo Revealed
This weekend, D23, the official Disney Fan Club, invited fans to gather for Destination D23 Live!, an in-person and virtual event celebrating all things Disney. In their first major announcement of the event, today D23 Vice President Michael Vargo unveiled a new logo celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.
Dubbed “100 Years of Wonder,” the celebration begins March 23, 2023. As fans already know, 23 is a remarkable number for the company as it began on Oct. 16, 1923. As part of the celebration, Disney Archives will debut a new collection titled, “Disney 100.”
The exhibit of Walt Disney Pictures costumes and Walt Disney Company archives will preview for D23 members at next year’s in-person expo before starting its worldwide run. The first viewings of the collection will take place at the Franklin Institute in Philedelphia.
The Walt Disney Company has a number of other important anniversaries on the horizon on top of the 100th celebration. Of course, Walt Disney World Resort began its enormous 50th anniversary celebration, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” on October 1st of this year. Disneyland Paris marks 30 years since its opening next year, and Shanghai Disney Resort marks five years since its opening this year as well.
Stay tuned to MickeyBlog for the latest announcements coming out of this weekend’s event.
