2019 Disney Dining Plan Cost And Comparison
One of the biggest components of a Walt Disney World vacation package is a Disney dining plan. I am a huge advocate for these as they not only make your vacation feel more all inclusive, they can really save you money! The average cost of a quick service meal is around $15 to $25 while a table service meal (including those amazing character dining experiences) can range from $30 to $60! Not to mention those Disney snacks can easily be $5 to $8 each. Let’s break down these Disney dining plans so you can choose which one is right for your family and budget.
Quick Service Dining Plan
Quick Service meals at Disney are basically the fast food type locations. You head up to the counter and order your meal, then take your food to a seat of your choice. They don’t require reservation and are perfect for a quick bite!
What’s Included
Everyone in the party ages 3 and over will receive the following each night of their package stay:
- 2 Quick-Service Meals
- 2 Snacks
Each Guest ages 3 and over will receive a refillable drink mug, which is eligible for refills at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at any Disney Resort hotel. Guests ages 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu, where available.
Guests have several new beverage options available including nonalcoholic specialty beverages and, for Guests 21 and older, beer, wine and cocktails.
Each Quick-Service meal includes (for breakfast, lunch or dinner):
- 1 Entrée
- 1 Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)

Let’s Talk Cost!
So you looked at adding a dining plan to your package and the total cost gave you a little sticker shock? Just remember, that is the total cost! Let’s break that down so you can see how cost effective it really is.
What I like to do is remove about $10 to $12 from these totals to account for snack credits. The remaining balance is what you would be spending on 2 quick service meals, 1 table and 1 quick service meal or 3 meals depending on the plan you choose. You can also head over to the Walt Disney World website to pull menus (and prices) from each restaurant. This really puts the total cost of food into perspective for me and makes me add a dining plan to every package I get.
