The Society Orchestra is Back In Business
The Disney Society Orchestra, née Grand Floridian Society Orchestra, Announces Holiday Gigs…
Welp, the former Grand Floridian Society Orchestra was out of work for about 5 minutes.
Today, The Jolly Creek Society Orchestra announced its return to public performance.
Soon, the band will take to the stage to perform nightly beginning on select nights in November and December.
Fresh off their 32 year run at a “grand” hotel in Florida, we are so proud to have the Jolly Creek Society Orchestra join our event as the headliner.

The official Jolly Creek website posted:
The Jolly Creek Society Orchestra
Fresh off their 32-year-run at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, we’re proud to host the Society Orchestra on our main stage.
Playing nightly, enjoy Christmas classics with jazzy rhythms.
And back in September, in the aftermath of sad news regarding their tenure at Walt Disney World, The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra posted on Facebook:
It’s hard to find the words but, sadly, our days at the Grand Floridian are over…Two weeks ago we got notice that the theater is going dark and our last day of work will be Saturday, Oct 3, 2020. As we all know, these are very uncertain times, and can’t say what will happen from one day to the next.
So after 32 years of playing together and playing music we love… we’re done. We are so thankful for the opportunity to play in a beautiful setting for the hotel guests and friends we have met & made over the years. We’ll never forget you and how wonderful you’ve made us feel. We will miss you!
Thank you-thank you- thank you!
There had been rumors of the group’s return to the stage in other venues, but this is the most high-profile gig in the books.
Frankly, this reporter is excited that such a beloved group of musicians will be back on stage.
