The Doubloon Lagoon Pool Has Reopened at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter (With a New Patio!)
Just two days after the resort celebrated its 23rd anniversary, construction wrapped up at Port Orleans French Quarter, and the Doubloon Lagoon has pool reopened in all its glory!
The last time we checked in from the fan-favorite Disney Moderate Resort, the Doubloon Lagoon pool had closed for refurbishment in January, along with the Mardi Gradi Gras Pool Bar.
The refurbishment had originally been scheduled to begin in January, with work continuing through April. Mardi Grogs happily reopened in the middle of April, giving resort guests a chance to relax and get a beverage.
Unfortunately, as the project got a late jump, the pool refurbishment continued through early May.
Doubloon Lagoon Is Open Again!
Well, I am happy to report that the Doubloon Lagoon pool has officially reopened to resort guests, and everything looks great!
The pool’s iconic sea serpent slide looks better than ever!
It’s great to see the pool back in action.
A New Mardi Grogs Patio
As part of the refurbishment of the pool, a new patio has opened adjacent to Mardi Grogs giving resort guests a great place to sit and relax.
Here is a look at the new area, as you can see, guests were already enjoying a drink by the pool.

The Last Remnants of the Refurbishment
While construction on both Mardi Grogs and the Doubloon Lagoon pool has finished, a small area is still walled off from guests.
This spot looks to be where the construction crews are leaving their equipment until it gets picked up.
