Riley’s Emotions Meet Anxiety in New ‘Inside Out 2’ Clip
Pixar is set to return to theaters in a big way on June 14 with the release of Inside Out 2.
The highly-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s Inside Out, the upcoming sequel film will take audiences back into the mind of Riley, where Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear must help Riley through her greatest challenge yet — puberty.

As Riley’s teenage mind becomes increasingly complicated, the emotions from the first film are shocked when Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy move in.
Introducing Anxiety
Ahead of Inside Out 2‘s release, Pixar has released a short clip from the film, which shows the moment that Joy and the gang are introduced to anxiety.

“Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” says director Kelsey Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”

The latest clip from Inside Out 2 cuts off before Riley’s emotions meet Ennui, Envy, and Embarrassment, but it looks clear that a culture clash is in their future.
Amy Pohler Lauds ‘Inside Out 2’
When Inside Out 2 was previewed at CinemaCon last month, Amy Poehler (who voices Joy) was on hand to introduce the film.
“I’ve played a lot of joyful characters over the years. But none of them have been as special to me as Joy. There was not even a millisecond of pause when they asked me to return,” she said.

The film, she continued, “captures the beauty and hilarity of every emotion we all experience on a daily basis.”
