The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk Gets an Update
The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s Boardwalk will open in 2024, and the highly anticipated sweet shop is slowly transforming.
From new windows to roof construction to hiring events and more–we can only hope these are all signs that the tasty new location will be opening soon.

Today, we stopped by Disney’s BoardWalk to check out the progress on this new location.

The construction walls are still up, hiding most of the construction from guest view.

However, construction crews are hard at work getting the bakery ready to open later this year.

It is tricky to see the majority of the updates behind the walls. However, we definitely noticed one change.

The exterior of the building has been painted gray.

Here is a refresher on what the location will look like based on the original concept art. The exterior of the building is white and soft pastels.

This gray paint may be an initial base coat, and we could possibly see more paint in the next few days.

Blue tarp and dormers can still be seen on the roof and exterior.

And windows are still boarded up. There is still work that needs to be done!

Overall, the work is coming along nicely. Though we were disappointed at the pushback on the grand opening, we are excited to see the final results.
