Work Continues on The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort

I don’t know about you, but I have been captivated by the construction of the Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.

Originally announced in November of 2022 as the replacement for the closed ESPN Club, the Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is set to bring scrumptious desserts and savory treats to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Unfortunately, however, it has taken a long time to come to fruition.

Initially slated for a 2023 opening, construction on the new Cake Bake Shop is still underway. While it doesn’t look like the shop is particularly close to opening, progress is definitely being made.

Progress is Being Made

When we stopped by Disney’s BoardWalk Resort recently, we noticed that the window installation has progressed, with the second story of the building looking close to complete.

Windows have also been installed on the first floor now.

Progress also looks to have been made on the roof, although there is clearly still work to do.

While delicious-looking treats continue to decorate the wall, the banner now simply reads “coming soon.”

Here is another look at the construction. As you can see, the first floor still needs a lot of work.

When Will The Cake Bake Shop Open?

While it doesn’t look like the Cake Bake Shop will be welcoming guests anytime soon, hopefully, progress will continue, and Disney’s BoardWalk will have another bakery before we know it.
