Sean Levy Responds to Rumors That Taylor Swift Will Appear in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
With Deadpool & Wolverine set to bring the Marvel multiverse in unprecedented ways, fans are expecting to see some familiar faces return.
While Marvel is largely keeping things under wraps, we know that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, Liev Schreiber will return as Sabertooth, and Aaron Stanford will be back as Pyro.
As big names continue to be bandied about, the elephant in the room remains Taylor Swift. Despite never appearing in a Marvel film before, rumors have swirled that the global superstar will debut in Deadpool & Wolverine as the mutant Dazzler.
Despite the fact that nothing has been confirmed, rumors of Swift’s involvement have persisted.
Sean Levy Says Wait and See
At CinemaCon last week, Deadpool & Wolverine director Sean Levy was asked if a Swift cameo was really on the way. In classic Marvel fashion, Levy would neither confirm nor deny the rumor, however, he did say that fans are in for some surprises.
“I can’t believe that you would dare ask me a question that you know I can’t answer. All of America knows I can’t answer that. But I will say, as I said earlier here at CinemaCon, the proliferation of rumors about who is and isn’t in this movie, it’s fabulous, because no one will ever know the truth until July 26,” he teased.
While that certainly wasn’t a denial, it sounds like fans are going to have to wait and see.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26.
