Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort’s Pool Reopens to Guests After Refurbishment
As someone who has visited Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for over 30 years now, I have seen all kinds of things come and go.
From the removal of the Cinnamon Bay Bakery in the early 2000s to the recent overhaul of the resort that saw the demolition of the Custom House, the reimagining of Old Port Royale, and the introduction of the Disney Skyliner, change has been a constant at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

Throughout the resort’s 35-year history, however, one thing has remained constant — the Fuentes del Morro Pool is the best place to go for a swim.

Over the years, the pool has undergone some major renovations, including an expansion in 2008. Still, the basic theming has remained the same.

With its Spanish architecture and fun water slide, the pool has been delighting guests for decades.
Like all of Walt Disney World’s pools, however, the Fuentes del Morro Pool has closed from time to time for a sprucing up. Luckily, each of the five villages at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has its own quiet pools, meaning guests still have a place to lay poolside.
The Fuentes del Morro most recently closed in January, with Disney saying the pool would remain off-limits through March.
The Pool Has Reopened!
Well, I am happy to report that Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort’s signature pool reopened today, and guests are once again enjoying the Spanish fort-themed pool.
As you can see, with blue skies and warm temperatures, the pool was busy today.
There are no major changes to The Fuentes del Morro Pool. It was just a general refurbishment.
While Disney was cleaning up the main pool, the nearby kiddie pool was also refurbished.
The water play area has a distinct Pirates of the Caribbean theme.
If you plan on visiting Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort in the foreseeable future, you no longer have to worry about where you will swim.
It’s great to see the Fuentes del Morro Pool reopened and looking better than ever!
