“’Star Wars: Tales of the Empire’ is a six-episode journey into the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on divergent paths, set during different eras. After losing everything, young Morgan Elsbeth navigates the expanding Imperial world toward a path of vengeance, while former Jedi Barriss Offee does what she must to survive a rapidly changing galaxy. The choices they make will define their destinies,” the show’s synopsis reads.
Continuing the Story of Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee
The Morgan Elsbeth story will fill Star Wars fans in on a character that was introduced in The Mandalorian before taking center stage in Ahsoka. Based on the trailer, it looks like we will learn more about Elsbeth’s backstory during the Clone Wars. She was apparently present when General Grievous attacked Dathomir!
The series will also explain how Elsbeth rose through the Imperial ranks alongside Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Barriss’ story, meanwhile, will seemingly pick up from The Clone Wars animated series. The last time we saw the former Jedi, she was arrested after blowing up the Jedi Temple and attempting to frame Ahsoka Tano.

The trailer for Tales of the Empire shows Barris being freed from prison and training under the Grand Inquisitor. By the end of the clip, she is face to face with her new Master — Darth Vader.
