The Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe Refurbishment Has Concluded and the Store Looks Great!
On the same day that the construction walls came down outside of the Columbia Harbour House, work also concluded across Liberty Square at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.
Like the Harbour House, Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe has been refreshed and recieved a new paint job!
For those who don’t know, the Magic Kingdom’s holiday store has been a part of Liberty Square since 1996, when it replaced Olde World Antiques, the Silversmith shop, and Mlle. Lafayette’s Perfumerie. Since that time, the store has delighted guests by celebrating Christmas 365 days a year, selling all kinds of fun Disney holiday souvenirs.
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe’s Exterior Refurbishment Concludes
Over the last couple of months, work has progressed across the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe facade. If you look at the facade today, you can see that it is clearly made up of three separate buildings. The last time we checked in, it was the former Olde World Antiques facade that was being worked on.
Today, that section officially reopened to guests! Not only did the facade itself receive a new coat of paint, but so did all of the props found throughout the store’s courtyard.
The white fence, metal table, and sleigh all look great!
I love this little courtyard outside of the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. It is a great place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of Liberty Square.
The staircase that we saw under construction is also now completed. It looks great!
Last but not least, here is a look a the entrance to the couryard. I love how this door looks. Imagineers did a great job!
All in all, Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe looks great! So, next time you are in the Magic Kingdom, stop by Liberty Square and check it out!
