‘Zombies 4’ Begins Production in New Zealand
Production on the upcoming Disney+ film Zombies 4 is officially underway in New Zealand!
The upcoming installment in the Zombies franchise follows Zed (Milo Manheim) and Addison (Meg Donnelly) as they embark on a road trip the summer after their first year of college. During their adventure, they unexpectedly stumble upon the warring worlds of Sunnyside and Shadyshake.
Joining Manheim and Donnelly are Swayam Bhatia as Vera, Julian Lerner as Ray, Mekonnen Knife as Varagas, and Lisa Chappell and Jonno Roberts. Bhatia, Lerner, and Knife all played supernatural monsters.
Chappell and Roberts, meanwhile, will play new adult roles as Eldress and Commander Bright.
The Zombies Franchise Continues to Expand
Zombies 4 will be directed by Paul Hoen, who has helmed all three previous films in the series. The movie was written by Josh Cagan, David Light, and Joseph Raso. Executive producers include Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, Hoen, Light, Raso, Jane Fleming, and Mark Ordesky.
The fourth installment in the film franchise will not be the only Zombies content fans have to look forward to. Disney also recently announced that the franchise is expanding with Zombies: The Re-Animated Series– the first ever animated series based on the franchise.
At this time, Zombies 4 does not have a release date. Based on the production schedule, the film should premiere in 2025.
