Bookings For NEW Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Now Open To The General Public
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has been a serene oasis from the theme park hustle ever since it opened in 1971. The resort originally opened as a remote campground and has since evolved to meet the growing needs of Walt Disney World guests.
In 2023, Disney announced plans to transition the moderate-level Cabins at Fort Wilderness into a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property. The new DVC cabins will officially open on September 27th, 2024, and bookings finally opened this week!
As of March 19th, 2024, DVC members were able to book the newly renovated cabins. The following day, bookings opened to Walt Disney Annual Passholders. NOW, bookings are finally open to the general public!
Let’s check it out!
NEW DVC Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
With their spacious rooms, convenient kitchenettes, and proximity to Magic Kingdom, the Cabins at Fort Wilderness have long been a magnet for larger families.
The rustic charm of Disney’s Fort Wilderness (and its fan-favorite Hoop Dee Doo Revue dinner show) is the perfect combination of Disney magic and peaceful family retreat.
As such, it comes as no surprise that the newly renovated DVC cabins are drawing a lot of attention!
The refurbishment features a fresh, modern take on the rustic aesthetic.
Guests will find a full kitchen and dining table, along with a standard-sized refrigerator, oven, and stove.
The one-bedroom cabin sleeps up to six adults. You’ll find one queen-sized bed, one queen-sized pull-down, and a bunk bed.
The new cabins provide plenty of space to unwind and relax after a busy park day!
