As Work Continues on the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, Horses are Inaccessible to Guests
If you have been following along here at MickeyBlog, then you know that the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel has been going through a pretty extensive refurbishment.
Previously, we have seen a systematic repair of the attraction’s canopy, and even the railing outside the ride was touched up.
For those who don’t know, the carousel was originally built in 1917, and the original canopy is largely intact. Before being installed at Magic Kingdom, however, Disney added scenes from Cinderella to the ride. Those murals, along with the original 1908 canopy, are currently being repainted.
As the oldest attraction in Magic Kingdom, it is no surprise that the carousel needs attention from time to time. Still, today, when visiting the park, we saw something we hadn’t seen yet.
Carousel Horses Are Roped Off Today
While the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is still operating today in Magic Kingdom, an entire section of carousel horses has been roped off and is not in use today.
While the outside horse is covered in a blue tarp, the other horses are simply inaccessible.
At this point, it is unclear if work is being done on these horses themselves. It could also be that something behind the horses is being refurbished.
Hopefully, the refurbishment of the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel will finish soon, and the attraction will be back and better than ever.
As always, continue to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of the Magic Kingdom.
