Uhhhh…What’s up With the Sea of Walls in Disneyland Park?!
Have you visited the Disneyland Resort recently? If you haven’t, some areas around the parks may look unrecognizable to you.
Over in Disney California Adventure, the park has transformed into a foodie’s wonderland–with tons of food booths–thanks to the 2024 Food & Wine Festival. And Disneyland Park has a transformation of its own underway, but the construction is making the park currently look…a little less exciting.
Walls at Disneyland Park
Is the stretch from New Orleans Square to Critter Country actually full of walls, or is it just your imagination? (You’re not crazy, it’s actually just a land of walls over there.)
You may be familiar with the Haunted Mansion refurbishment that’s expanding the queue and adding a new retail shop. This project started back in January, with no reopening date provided.
You may also be aware of the ongoing construction over at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is reimaging Splash Mountain into a Princess and the Frog-themed boat ride. Disney hasn’t provided an exact opening date for the rethemed attraction, but they have shared that it will open “later in 2024.”
Adding to the chaos of construction, the New Orleans Square Railroad Station is also unavailable and walled off.
All of these projects, individually, don’t seem like they’d have that big of an impact on the park. However, since all of these attractions are next to one another, these projects have resulted in the stretch from Tiana’s Palace to Critter Country being covered in walls.
We’re excited to see what the area will look like once this transformation is complete! We’ll keep updating you with progress, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com!
