Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Is CLOSED—Here’s Everything We Know About the Refurbishment
Is Disneyland’s list of closures actually stretching, or is it just your imagination? (You’re not losing your mind, it is growing.)
The Haunted Mansion has joined the list of attractions currently closed for refurbishments at the Disneyland Resort. But Haunted Mansion’s closure is expected to be a lengthy one, due to all of the refurbishments and additions that are taking place. Here’s everything we know about this project!
Haunted Mansion Closure
The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park is officially closed for refurbishment. While the attraction always closes this time of year to switch back from its holiday overlay, this closure is much more extensive than usual, as the attraction’s grounds are being reimagined, the queue is being expanded, and a shop is being added!
The expanded queue will have themes related to the mansion’s history, including a new garden inspired by Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and the…one-eyed cat?! The refurbishment will add elements like a water fountain, a gazebo, and a greenhouse.
And the new retail shop being built belongs to Madame Leota. We can’t wait to see what items she brings from regions beyond!
The plaza area between the Haunted Mansion and Tiana’s Palace will also be enhanced!
Currently, there’s no reopening date for the Haunted Mansion. However, we expect the attraction will remain closed for a significant portion of the year. We’ll keep you updated with the latest on this project, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com.
