Does This New Disney World Treat Taste as Good as It Looks??
Now that it’s March, it’s time to celebrate Women’s History Month!
Disney is kicking off the month with all kinds of new and returning treats featuring some of our favorite female characters, such as Tiana’s Famous Beignets and the Moana Milkshake. And now we’re stopping by one Animal Kingdom location for a new treat inspired by one of our favorite Pixar characters!
Feathered Friends Mousse Dome
Today we’re heading to Creature Comforts (aka Starbucks) in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Inspired by Kevin from Up, who was eventually revealed to be a girl AND a mom, is the new Feathered Friends Mousse Dome for $7.99.
The Feathered Friends Mousse Dome is made of lavender-white chocolate mousse, orange blossom cake, chocolate coating, chocolate flakes, white chocolate feathers, and buttercream.
According to Disney, this treat was created by Pastry Assistant Sous Chef Kristen, who was inspired by the colorful macaws you may have seen flying around Discovery Island.
But does this treat taste as good as it looks?? We thought that the orange blossom cake was very light and moist, and we could really taste the orange blossom flavor, along with notes of florals as well.
The lavender white chocolate mousse was the perfect pairing with the orange blossom — it wasn’t too sweet and the flavors complemented each other nicely.
The only thing we weren’t a huge fan of was the purple icing, which had a bit of an artificial taste to it. But otherwise, this treat was delicious — and it’s beautiful too!
If you happen to visit Animal Kingdom in March, you might want to give this a try! The Feathered Friends Mousse Dome is available from March 1st to the 31st.
