Southwest Cancels Hundreds of Flights from Orlando International Airport!
Travel and flight nightmares continue across the US and Florida. Travelers are growing increasingly shocked and frustrated as Southwest Cancels Hundreds of Flights from Orlando International Airport!
Here’s what we know right now.

On Thursday December 29th, in addition to flights out of MCO, Southwest Airlines has canceled thousands of flights across the U.S.
According to Flight Aware and Fox 35 News, there are approximately 118 flight cancellations out of Orlando International Airport and 111 of those are from Southwest Airlines.
The cancellations have impacted both locals and guests leaving may stranded in Orlando.

The majority of airlines are averaging about a 5% cancelation rate, but Southwest has a 70% cancellation rate.
The airline is citing its different business model (not giving flight crews a home base) as one of the main issues.
In addition, the winter storm and a poor infrastructure have created additional challenges.

Southwest passengers are encouraged to save all receipts. The airlines has said all travelers will be reimbursed for hotels, cars, and food due to delays and cancellations.
