Disney’s Hollywood Studios Unveils New 2024 Guide Map
Now that everybody has the My Disney Experience app on their phone with its built-in map, guide maps are not as popular as they used to be.
There was a time when getting to your Disney World resort and grabbing a handful of guide maps was like finding a treasure map.
I would personally map out my day, starring which attractions I wanted to experience and circling all the restaurants I wanted to visit.
For years, the guide maps would be updated regularly, with new photos showcased on the front to grab guests’ attention. These days, however, the Disney World guide maps remain fairly static and are better souvenirs than functional tools.
Still, anytime I visit the park, I grab a map for nostalgia, if nothing else.
Hollywood Studios 2024 Guidemaps have arrived
Well, today, when visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we learned that the park has issued brand new guide maps featuring an all-new cover image.
The map currently features a young girl holding a Woody doll on the front, which is a clear reference to Toy Story Land.
Inside, as always, the park is broken down by land, with all of the attractions, restaurants, and shops listed.
New to this map is the new snack stand, Ice Cold Hydraulics, listed as number 27.
The map itself has lost some of its character over the years. Now, Disney puts more emphasis on realistic depictions. Still, it is cool to see how the park is laid out from above.
Thankfully, the map is orientated with the park entrance at the bottom. It is much easier to follow this way.
The back side and insert of the 2024 Hollywood Studios guidemap highlight Muppet Vision 3D, Fantasmic!, and the new Woody’s Rodeo BBQ. There is also an infographic explaining the My Disney Experience app.
Finally, park rules, payment options, and an info box about the Disney Vacation Club.
So, next time you visit Disney’s Hollywood studios, make sure you pick up a guidemap!
