Morning Times Added To The Schedule For Festival of the Lion King
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that last month marked the return of a slightly modified Festival of the Lion King now called “A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King.”
We had a chance to attend the first production and can honestly tell you this show is as fantastic as it’s always been!
Since it opened last month, show times have primarily taken place in the afternoon and evening. However, we’ve got some good news in that Disney has updated their schedule and there are now morning showtimes available.
As you can see form the image above! Festival of the Lion King has just introduced an 10:20 am showtime followed by and 11:30 am showtime. That means that those arriving at the parks earlier in the day will get a chance to experience this awesome production!
At the moment seating for these performances is on a first-come-first-served basis. This is a very popular offering with spaces filling up quickly for each showtime.. If you’re interested in catch a performance during your visit, we advise that you arrive earlier to ensure your spot in the queue.
When we attended the production last month, social distancing was being heavily enforced at this location both for those in the queue and those inside the theater. However, as of late, Disney is relaxing these measures which may mean they are letting more guests in for each performance.
For those unfamiliar, “A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King” is a visual spectacle and one of Disney’s best theme park productions. It’s part Broadway-style musical, part circus and a whole lot of fun. The storyline is similar to the original animated film The Lion King with many familiar Disney characters making an appearance. The total run time for the show is about 25 minutes.
Trust me when I say that this show has it all: singing, dancing, fire dances, incredible dance sequences and more!
