Noodles in a Cup, Fruit Sushi, & More at Hanami for EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival
It’s time to check out another food booth at EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival! We’re in the park for the first day of festivities, trying out as many of the new food items as we can.
So, come along with us to try some very interesting new items in Japan!
Hanami
The Hanami booth is located over in the front of the Japan Pavilion. This is a great spot for some unique food or fun sake options!
There are two new food items on the menu this year, and all of the drink options are new, so let’s get started!
We started with the new Steam Bun filled with vegetables and plant-based soy meat for $8.50.
This was pretty good, especially as a plant-based option! We weren’t a huge fan of the soy meat, but it is a decent option for those who are eating plant-based.
Next, we got the new Ramen Cup for $8.50. This is a ramen salad shaken in a cup with fresh vegetables, grilled chicken, and dashi broth with chili oil and yuzu.
The presentation definitely made us a little skeptical, but this was tasty! There is a ton of flavor overall. Do note that the broth is on the colder side though, so you gotta be okay with a cold cup of ramen rather than a hot one.
Also over here is one of the most iconic desserts of this festival, the Frushi! This is strawberry, pineapple, and lychee wrapped in coconut rice and pink soy wrap served with whipped cream, drizzled raspberry sauce, and toasted coconut for $7.75.
This is fresh and fruity and always a really unique sweet treat! If you like fruit and coconut, you should like this one.
Now for the drinks! For a non-alcoholic option, you can get the new Watermelon-Strawberry Lemonade for $6.75. This is pretty basic and straightforward, but it is very refreshing! The flavors were fresh and tasty.
As for alcohol, the options include the new Orange Blossom Brewing Co. Cherry Blossom Green Tea Pilsner which is $5 for 6 oz and $9.50 for 12 oz, the new Ichigo Breeze Cocktail, which is sake with strawberry and watermelon for $7.75, or the new Ozeki Pineapple Nigori Sake for $9.75.
We’d definitely recommend this spot for some fresh flavors, unique dishes, and a decent plant-based option! Keep following MickeyBlog for more Disney festival reviews.
