‘Andor’ Star Previews Season 2 and Gives a Hint at a Possible Release Date

While Star Wars fans eagerly await an announcement about when Andor season 2 will finally land on Disney+, anticipation continues to build.

Season 1 of the series was an undeniable success, not only bringing in high viewership numbers but also creating a new kind of Star Wars fan. As opposed to the lore-heavy Skywalker films or Ahsoka, Andor told a grittier tale that was easier to digest for those who were not caught up on the latest developments in the Force.

“Star Wars For Grown-Ups”

Well, according to Andor star Stellan Skarsgard, the Rogue One spin-off will continue to be “Star Wars for grown-ups.”

“It’s the last season of it. It ends where Rogue One starts so it’s up to that point. I think it will be very good as already the first one was satisfying for me because it’s sort of Star Wars for grown-ups – it’s a more realistic and complicated society that they’re living in and the claustrophobia of the fascist regime is palpable. I think we have a good season ahead of us.”

As Skarsgard said, Andor season 2 will be the final season for the series, as the show butts up against Rogue One. The question for Star Wars fans is when will season 2 arrive.

When Disney released their 2024 release schedule, Andor was noticeably absent. Still, according to Skarsgard, fans won’t have to wait too long;

“It will probably be out towards the end of the year or early next,” he said.
