PHOTOS & VIDEO: Ride Vehicles Spotted at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom
We’re getting closer to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
In case you missed it, Splash Mountain is undergoing a major retheme in both Disney World and Disneyland, and we’ve been watching all the construction changes closely. Now we have a big update!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride Vehicles
Splash Mountain in its original form closed back in May 2023 in Magic Kingdom, and since then it has been transforming into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will feature a Princess and the Frog theme.
We’ve been watching all the construction closely as Disney transitions the classic ride, and we saw something very exciting today!
It’s the ride vehicles!

They don’t appear to be super different from their old form, although it looks like the brown bumpers may have been refreshed, and Br’er Rabbit has been removed from the front of the vehicles.
The back of these particular vehicles now features a red tag that says “rejected,” so it’s reasonable to conclude that these ride vehicles may be undergoing more inspections and updates.
The track itself is dry today, although water testing has been observed recently.
Here’s another look.
Disney recently announced that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is currently scheduled to open in summer 2024 in Magic Kingdom. It will open in Disneyland later in 2024. You can click here to learn more about this new ride!
We’ll be watching closely for more updates!
