Disney+ Announces 4 More Korean-Language Original Series Will Debut This Year
Disney+ is set to add four new Korean-language original series to its already stacked 2024 calendar.
In addition to the third season of The Zone: Survival Mission and the previously announced Uncle Samsik and Light Shop, the streamer is set to debut Blood Free, Unmasked, The Tryrant, and Gangnam B-Side.

The Four New Series
Blood Free will follow a former bodyguard who is haunted by his failures of the past. The bodyguard is hired to protect the CEO of a controversial lab-grown meat company who survived the same fateful attack. The series will star Ju Jihoon and Han HyoJoo.

Meanwhile, Unmasked is set in modern-day Seul and follows a group of journalists who are trying to save their careers after telling a controversial story. In order to keep their jobs, they are given the seemingly impossible task of solving a twenty-year-old cold case involving a missing famous actor.
The Tyrant will follow a U.S. secret agent as he tries to recover a deadly virus stolen from the South Korean government. In the espionage thriller, global agencies must do everything in their power to prevent the virus from spreading.

Finally, Gangnam B-Side follows a retired detective who is drawn back on the beat after his daughter’s friend becomes the latest woman to go missing in Seoul’s flashy Gangnam area.
His investigation will lead him to a world of vice. It will also uncover something that could expose the city’s elite.
A Big Year For Korean-Language Content
The four new shows will arrive alongside the societal drama Uncle Samsik and Light Shop, which is an adaptation of the hit webtoon series. Finally, the Korean variety-survival show The Zone: Survival Mission is set to return for a third season.

All in all, 2024 is looking like a massive year for Korean-language programming on Disney+.
