Molly Shannon Joins ‘Only Murders in the Building’ For Season 4
Molly Shannon has been added to the cast of Only Murders in the Building season 4 for a season-long arc.
While we know that Mabel, Oscar, and Charles will be attempting to solve the mystery of Saz’s death, as usual, the plot of the upcoming season has been kept under wraps by producers.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich revealed, however, that the crime-fighting trio would spend some time in LA this season.
“Well, I’m very excited to see Steve, Martin and Selena take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles. So in the same way that John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you’ve ever seen, the same unique ‘Only Murders’ take will be applied to Los Angeles, which I’m really excited about,” he disclosed.
What Role Will Shannon Play?
According to Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva, Shannon will play an LA businesswoman who finds herself “drawn into the world of the investigation in New York.”
Shannon is a three-time Emmy nominee and a Saturday Night Live veteran. In 2017, she took home the 2017 Best Supporting Actress Indie Spirit Award for her performance in Other People.
More recently, she starred in Showtime’s I Love That For You, had a guest spot in HBO’s The White Lotus, and had a supporting role in Zach Braff’s A Good Person opposite Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman.
When Will Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Debut?
While we don’t have a release date for Only Murders in the Building season 4, insiders have speculated that the show could return in the summer of 2024.
