Blizzard Beach To Close This Weekend With Cold Weather and Rain in the Forecast
While there is never a bad time to visit Walt Disney World, you need to pay more attention to the weather when visiting the resort in February.
As someone who grew up taking an annual trip to Disney every February, I can remember being amazed that Florida was so warm in the winter and also freezing in my heavy jacket as I watched Illuminations.
At Walt Disney World in February, you never know what you are going to get.
If you don’t believe me, let’s take a look at this upcoming weekend’s weather.
Temperatures Are Set to Drop Off
On Friday, temperatures at Walt Disney World will make it to the upper 70s, making it the perfect temperature to explore the parks or spend some time by the pool.
Saturday and Sunday, however, will be much cooler with temperatures in the low 60s and upper 50s in addition to rain.
In fact, according to Walt Disney World’s calendar, it will be so cold this weekend that Disney’s Blizzard Beach will close on both Saturday and Sunday.
The park was previously scheduled to be open from 10:00 am to 5:00pm. With cooler weather on the horizon, however, that will not be the case.
So, if you plan on visiting Walt Disney World this weekend be prepared! Not only will Blizzard Beach be closed, but you may also want to pack some warmer clothes.
Luckily, next week’s forecast looks warmer, and Blizzard Beach is set to reopen on Monday, February 14.
