PHOTOS: A Spaceship Earth Geometric Pattern Has Been Carved Into CommuniCore Hall
The massive transformation of EPCOT, which saw the introduction of World Neighborhoods, the arrival of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and The Journey of Water, and a complete redesign of the park’s central spine, is finally coming to a close.
Originally announced in 2019, construction at EPCOT has been an omnipresent part of guests’ Walt Disney World vacation for five years.
With the unveiling of the World Celebration Gardens and Dreamers Point last December, however, only CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza are left to open.
What Is CommuniCore Hall?
Replacing the former Innoventions buildings, the new CommuniCore Hall will include a permanent residence for Mickey and his friends, a demo kitchen, a mixology bar, and gallery space. CommuniCore Plaza, meanwhile, will hold a large stage for live performances.

While the project was initially expected to be completed in 2023, work on the construction of CommuniCore Hall is still underway.
A Geometric Pattern Has Been Carved Into CommuniCore Hall
Today, when visiting EPCOT, we learned that a geometric pattern in the style of Spaceship Earth has been carved into the side of the CommuniCore Hall building.
The Spaceship Earth style pattern was featured in CommuniCore Hall concept art.
Here is a look from close to The Land pavilion.
As you can see, work is continuing on the building, which is verticle but doesn’t look particularly close to completion.
While we don’t have an opening date for CommuniCore Hall yet, it is good to see progress being made.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of EPCOT as the park’s transformation comes to a close.
