Disney’s Port Orleans Mardi Gras Celebration and More!
We were at Port Orleans today for a very fun festivity! The 2024 Mardi Gras Parade was held today! This is such a great event for the whole family to attend. Cast Members decorated golf carts and this year, they did not disappoint!
Upon entering the French Quarter, you will see a sign for the times of the events going on for the day.
We made our way through the courtyard to the parade route. You can find great viewing spots along the Sassagoula River.
Cast Members do an amazing job performing for this parade. They really bring the excitement!
Of course, we saw Princess Tiana kick off the parade in her own horse-drawn carriage. The amazing decorated golf carts came through. We saw some amazing ones. we saw a Rainy Calvacade, a Christmas party-themed one, a Boo To You-themed one, and a few others. Take a look!
Once the parade is over, guests can head back to the courtyard to begin voting on their favorites. Cast members were holding up big signs where you can scan a QR code to vote on your favorite.
The golf carts were parked in the courtyard so everyone could really take in all of the details.
Once we were done with that, we headed to get some refreshments.
You could choose from sodas beer, cocktails, and other non-alcoholic drinks. There was a live band in the courtyard as well! So much fun!
Guests can also participate in the “Craft of the Day” for $25 a person. You can paint your own mosaic in different designs. I think my favorite is the mickey head! They also offer carousels too. Both start at 12pm and run until 4pm.
This Mardi Gras parade at Port Orleans is always so much fun and we look forward to it every year!
