Oscar Isaac Reveals What He Would Like to See Moon Knight Do Next
Despite the popularity of Marvel Studios’ streaming series, only Loki and the animated What If…? have managed to return for a second season.
While shows like WandaVision, The Falcon and Winter Soldier, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have seemingly come to an end, the door remains open to other popular series.

Perhaps the biggest contender for a second season is Moon Knight.
‘Moon Knight’ Season 1 Was Well Received
The 2022 streaming series starred Oscar Isaac as the titular anti-hero Moon Knight, who serves as the Avatar of Khonshu.

Moon Knight was originally named Marc Spector, however, after a troubled childhood, Spector’s psyche created an alter persona known as Steven Grant, who had no memory of Spector’s trauma. The internal battle between Grant and Spector served as the crux of the series.

While Moon Knight has yet to be renewed for a second season, fans have held out hope that the series will continue.
Oscar Isaac Wants to See The Midnight Sons
In a recent interview at the Middle East Film and Comic Cons, Issac sounded open to returning as the complex vigilante and even offered up where he would like to see the character’s story go next.
“I thought there was an interesting opportunity with Midnight Sons. There are just such interesting characters in there. Now that we’ve set the groundwork with learning who Marc, Steven, and Jake — less so — are, it could be an interesting opportunity to see him as a part of a team and what that dynamic would be. I think that’d be exciting. For me, I definitely hope there’s some room to explore that possibility.”

For those who don’t remember, in the final scene of Moon Knight, Marc Spector’s body was revealed to be housing a third persona named Jake Lockley. Despite Spector and Grant freeing themselves from Khonshu’s service, Lockley continued to serve the Egyptian deity.
Who Are The Midnight Sons?
The Midnight Sons, meanwhile, were a team of supernatural heroes, including Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Blade, and Morbius. Other members have included Man-Thing, Elsa Bloodstone, Wong, Dr. Strange, and Iron Fist.

With Man-Thing and Elsa Bloodstone appearing in Werewolf by Night, Dr. Strange and Wong are firmly established as MCU heroes, and Blade is on the horizon. Perhaps we will see The Midnight Sons form after all.
Regardless of what direction the series takes, the fact that Isaac would be open to reprising his role as Moon Knight is good news for fans.
