Since it’s the Year of the Dragon, Disney highlighted some of their iconic dragons that you can see around the parks and resorts. Let’s take a look!
The Dragons of Disney
Figment
If you’re a Disney World fan, we’re sure you’re familiar with Figment! The little purple guy is most commonly found over at EPCOT.

Figment Meet and Greet
Figment actually has an even bigger presence in the park right now since Festival of the Arts is going on! You can also meet him in person over at the Imagination Pavilion.
Elliot
This one is a bit of a throwback! Elliot is from the 1977 movie Pete’s Dragon — He’s a gentle giant that just wants to be loved.

You can actually see Elliot in two Disney parks right now! He appears in the Disney Electrical Sky Parade at Disneyland Paris and in the Main Street Electrical Parade: Dreamlights at Tokyo Disney Resort.
Mushu
Mulan’s famous sidekick isn’t just found in the movie, you can also see Mushu at the Lunar New Year celebration in Disney California Adventure Park! You’ll find him in Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession from now through February 18th.

Mushu is also at Shanghai Disney Resort as part of the Spring Festival for Chinese New Year! And, the dragon will join the all-new Mickey’s Year of the Dragon Celebration castle stage show at Hong Kong Disneyland, along with dragon kites representing other Disney dragons like Sisu.
Maleficent
Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty tends to transform into her fiery dragon form when she’s feeling particularly evil.
You can find her over at Magic Kingdom — she appears as a steampunk-inspired dragon that breathes fire in the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Brickley
You might not know his name, but we bet you’ve seen Brickley if you’ve been over to Disney Springs in Disney World! He’s the giant sea serpent in the water made entirely out of LEGOs.

Brickley is a true fixture of the area — he’s been at Disney World for as long as I can remember!
La Tanière du Dragon
La Tanière du Dragon is an attraction over in Disneyland Paris located in the dungeon underneath Sleeping Beauty Castle. In here, you’ll find an awesome audio-animatronic dragon!

This dragon used to rule the skies, but now he remains chained up in the dungeon. Be very careful though, because even though the dragon appears to be sleeping, you could easily wake him up, and it won’t be very happy!
