Dumbo Sneak Peek Begins This Weekend
Dumbo may not open in theaters until March 29th but starting this weekend fans of of our favorite pachyderm are getting a sneak peak! Disney’s all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” is being shown aboard the ships of the Disney Cruise Line. Walt Disney World Resort guests can enjoy the Dumbo Sneak Peek as part of the Walt Disney Presents attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Also, Disneyland Park will be showing it in the Main Street Opera House.
Coming from the mind of visionary director Tim Burton, Dumbo expands on the beloved classic story. The movie takes viewers to a place where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight.
Story Line
Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green). This is until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.
Behind The Scenes
Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) directs this live-action reimagining of Walt Disney’s classic animated tale. The screenplay is by Ehren Kruger (Ophelia, Dream House). Justin Springer (TRON: Legacy), Kruger, Katterli Frauenfelder (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Big Eyes) and Derek Frey (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Frankenweenie) produce the movie.
