The Disney Store is Officially Back! shopDisney To Revert Back to Old Name
The Disney Store is officially back!
In 2017, The Walt Disney Company dropped the Disney Store name for its online store in favor of shopDisney. Almost seven years later, the online shop is reverting back to the Disney Store name.

On the current shopDisney Guest Services page, the company announced that “Disney-owned shops, e-commerce, shop-in-shops, and outlets are coming under one brand name: Disney Store.”
“This will be the official shopping destination where you can shop the stories you love from across our brands. Retail locations, including but not limited to World of Disney and others within Disney Parks will remain directly affiliated with the Park location where they reside,” the website reads.

According to Disney, launching the Disney Store will allow guests to shop the stories they love and find “the authentic, high-quality product they expect across all shopping destinations.”
Changes Will Begin February 14
The new changes are set to start on February 14 in North America. The transition will begin in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) on February 12 and has already started in APAC (Asia-Pacific).
As part of the transition back to the Disney Store name, Disney plans to unveil a new logo and an updated look for the website and across social media platforms. This will include new imagery, videos, and stories.

“Fans will be able to find inspiration and exciting updates from the Disney Store on our dedicated social channels,” Disney said.
During the transition from shopDisney to the Disney Store, the website may be temporarily unavailable.
Packaging Will Slowly Change Brands
Additionally, the packing for online purchases will slowly transition from shopDisney to the Disney Store. As part of Disney’s commitment to sustainability and meeting the company’s 2030 Environmental Goals, no shopDisney branded packaging will be destroyed.

Not to worry, Disney says the new Disney Store, “will still be the place to buy unique, authentic, high-quality products from Disney, Pixar, MARVEL, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Twentieth Century Studios.”
If you have an existing shopDisney order, don’t worry! Your order will be fulfilled as expected. Additionally, order history linked to Disney profiles will not be affected.
