ICYMI: “Festival of Fantasy” Joins Genie+ Tomorrow
For guests looking to maximize their time in the parks, the new Genie+ system offers a way to schedule return times for attractions. As of tomorrow, guests can also avoid waiting curbside for hours in order to see the “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.” A special reserved seating space will become a choice on Genie+ beginning tomorrow.
“Beginning March 22, Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will be added to Genie+ Lightning Lane,” according to theme park journalist Scott Gustin. “At DHS Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams will also be added March 11.”
“Festival of Fantasy” made its long-awaited return yesterday to Magic Kingdom with much fanfare and excitement. Though certainly modified to accomodate for COVID-19 precautions and the continuing rehiring process, it brought so much joy to see the daytime parade take to Main Street U.S.A. again.

The addition of Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams to Genie+ also brings a welcome addition to the Disney’s Hollywood Studios Lightning Lane line-up. A number of popular attraction choices there often run out by lunchtime, so the additional option to meet Sorcerer Mickey Mouse and red-carpet-ready Minnie Mouse will certainly help out as the parks become more crowded with Spring Break guests this weekend.
As always, having a plan for your Genie+ selections remains key to success. Remember, all guests can book their first Genie+ return time beginning at 7 a.m. each day. Disney resort guests can also book their individual Lightning Lane choices at 7 a.m. with all other guests having access to those at park opening.
