The Wave… of American Flavors at Contemporary Resort Set for Refurbishments After July 15
We knew about a refurbishment of some sorts coming to The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. And it looks like that refurbishment officially has a date. They should be starting after July 15.

The website states:
The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be unavailable this summer as we refurbish this space in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. Reservations will be available through July 15.

Reservations are still open through July15th, so that leads us to believe that the refurb will be starting after July 15th.

There are currently other renovations being done to the guest rooms in the Tower at the Contemporary Resort. There are skrims covering internal and external balconies.
Disney has released much info about the room refurbishments, so we have no details on what is going on exactly.
The rumor mill has been swirling about a possible Incredibles makeover just as the Polynesian had a Moana makeover.
Guest rooms in the Main Tower building will be unavailable from April 3, 2021, through the end of September 2021.
Theme Park View rooms started their refurbishment on April 3. Lake View rooms also started refurbishments on May 15, 2021. Disney has stated that plans now have the Resort reopening with the refurbished rooms on September 19, 2021, but that date could be pushed until the end of September.
