Don Rickles’ Daughter Would Like to See Disney Use His Voice For ‘Toy Story 5’
It has been seven years since comedy legend Don Rickles passed away at the age of 90.
Mr. Warmth left behind an unmatched legacy. While primarily known as an insult comic and a stand-up comedian, Rickles also did his share of work in television and film.

For Disney fans, however, Rickles will likely be best remembered for his voice work as Mr. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise.
Mr. Warmth as Mr. Potato Head
The caustic toy was endowed by Rickles with both his caustic wit and his charm, making him a fan favorite character for generations of Toy Story fans.
Rickles portrayed Mr. Potato Head in all four Toy Story films, also reprising his role in Toy Story Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s California Adventure.

While Rickles passed away two years before the release of Toy Story 4, Disney chose to use archival recordings of the late comic instead of recasting the role.

The Toy Story team used lines he recorded for the first three movies, theme park attractions, video games, and even Disney on Ice: Toy Story.
The Rickles Family Would Like Disney to Use Archival Recordings
With Toy Story 5 on the horizon, Rickels’ daughter Mindy is hoping that Disney uses previous recordings of Mr. Warmth to voice Mr. Potato Head again.

Mindy told TMZ that she would love to hear her father voice his iconic character, provided that Disney uses archived recordings and not AI.
Hopefully, Rickles’ Disney legacy will continue with Toy Story 5. No matter what happens, however, Mindy says that Disney will always have a friend in the Rickles family.
