Disney’s New Sandwich Proves There is Such Thing as Too Much Bacon
It’s time to Celebrate Soulfully for Black History Month in Disney World! We’ve been trying new foods for the celebration all day, like Tiana’s beignets, a banana milkshake, and some amazing peach cobbler.
And now, it’s time for another new item! Let’s head over to Magic Kingdom to check it out.
Fried Green Tomato BLT Sandwich
This is the new Fried Green Tomato BLT Sandwich from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe! It’s a fried green tomato sandwich with lettuce, bacon, and bacon-pimento spread served with house-made chips for $10.99.
The sandwich came on white bread that was almost like Texas toast. It was toasted but still had some softness to it.
We thought the fried green tomatoes were really good and we appreciated that they weren’t soggy at all. They were nice and crisp!
But, unfortunately, the bacon pimento spread overwhelmed the entire sandwich. There was just too much of it and the bacon in the pimento spread combined with the bacon already on the sandwich was overkill.
We never thought you could have too much bacon, but this sandwich proved us wrong.
The actual pimento cheese was good though. However, we still wouldn’t really recommend this sandwich unless you’re a very big fan of pimento cheese and bacon.
If you want to try it, you can get it through March 1st. Stay tuned for more Disney World food news, reviews, and updates!
