We FINALLY Have a ‘Deadpool 3’ Synopsis
As revealed by Ryan Reynolds last week, months after production was delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, Deadpool 3 has concluded filming.
When released, the film will be the first installment in the Deadpool franchise produced by Marvel Studio. Additionally, we will finally see the Merc with the Mouth enter the MCU.
In the film, we know that Reynolds will be joined by returning Marvel stars Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Jennifer Garner (Elektra), and Liv Schreiber (Wolverine). We do not, however, have a ton of information about the plot of the film.

Based in part on the inclusion of Jackman’s Wolverine and other stars of Marvel’s past, speculation has run rampant that the events of Deadpool 3 will lay the foundation for Avengers: Secret Wars.
The First ‘Deadpool 3’ Synopsis Has Arrived
Well, now that the movie has finished filming, the Deadpool 3 synopsis has landed online. According to the Japanese Marvel website (as translated by The Direct), the film’s synopsis reads:
“The irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”

Based on the synopsis, it sounds like fan speculation may have been correct after all. Will Deadpool alter the mainline MCU in a way that brings back former Marvel heroes? Is this how the X-Men will be introduced?
A Major Moment For Marvel
As Deadpool 3 is the only Marvel film set to hit theaters next year, the studio has a lot riding on Reynold’s mouthy anti-hero.

By the sound of things, however, the events of the next Deadpool film will have ramifications for the MCU going forward.
